Apology for the failure of the CP+2012 system and password reset request

Thank you very much for pre-registering for CP+2012. Much to our regret, we have to inform you that due to a system failure, the passwords of some users who have pre-registered were wrongly deleted. We are writing to request that the affected users set their passwords again. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused by the failure.

1. Failure and its impact

During the automatic deletion of older users who had registered for CP+2011 or earlier events, the passwords of some users who pre-registered for CP+2012 were accidentally deleted. As a result, they cannot log in to their “My Page” that we provided.*Not all registered users have been affected.

2. Request for your cooperation

On Tuesday, January 24 we sent an e-mail message with the subject “[CP+2012] Apology for the system failure and password reset request” to the affected users. We sincerely request your cooperation on this matter.
The URL link given in the e-mail for resetting the password had an expiration date, and for those users who have been unable to set their passwords because the date has passed, we have extended the expiration date. Please take a moment to navigate to the URL in the e-mail we sent you earlier in order to set your password again.

3. Extent of the impact of the failure

The users affected by the failure are those who pre-registered between 16:55 on Thursday, January 19, 2012 and 02:17 on Sunday, January 22, 2012.
Other than the deletion of the password, users will not suffer any effects such as deletion of any other registration data or leakage of personal information.
Thank you again for your understanding and cooperation.
