1 13:00–13:45 Development of M.ZUIKO PRO LENS

Olympus introduced the professional category lens "M.ZUIKO PRO" in 2013 together with "OM-D E-M1". "12-40mm/F2.8PRO" in 2013, "40-150mm/F2.8PRO" in 2014, followed by, Olympus introduced the "7-14mm/F2.8PRO" and "8mm/ F1.8FisheyePRO" in 2015. In addition, we are planning the introduction of "300mm / F4PRO". The technologies used for the “M.ZUIKO PRO” lenses will be explained in this session.

EF35mm f/1.4L II USM

Canon has launched the imaging lens system, EF35mm f/1.4L II USM, in September 2015. This imaging lens system includes the new Blue Spectrum Refractive (BR) optics. The BR optics helps produce impressively high quality images by realizing to maximize performance and reduce chromatic aberration. We introduce the newly developed optical element and optical design in this seminar.

5 11:30–12:15 Development of α7R II, 42.4MP mirrorless camera with world’s first back-illuminated 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor.

In August 2015, Sony has launched α7R II, 42.4MP mirrorless camera with world’s first back-illuminated 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor, as a full-frame interchangeable lens camera α7 series. In this seminar, technologies realizing new levels of resolution, sensitivity, and response speed will be explained. Contents also include related technologies such as back-illuminated CMOS sensor and signal process algorithm.

Fuji Film released "XF56mmF1.2 R APD" as an interchangeable lens lineup for the X series. The XF56mmF1.2 R APD lens is the first to use contrast AF in combination with an apodization filter. This lens offers brilliant levels of sharpness even when shooting with the aperture at F1.2. In addition, the apodization filter smoothes the outline of the subject to create a more natural bokeh effect. This combination of image sharpness and beautiful bokeh delivers portraits with a three-dimensional feel. I introduce the APD filter and the effective photography method.

10 17:00–17:45 Development of Pixel Shift Resolution

Pixel Shift Resolution uses the camera’s in-body Shake Reduction mechanism by moving the image sensor at single pixel increments, capture four separate images, and subsequently combine it into a single high definition image. The technology and the benefit of this function will be introduced using sample images.
